STOKING THE INNER FIRE – HATHA YOGA PRACTICE
Tapas in yoga means ‘fiery discipline’ – the intense focus and commitment necessary to burn of the impediments that keep us truly thriving in life. In this Hatha Yoga practice we will focus on stoking our inner fire or agni through the use of mantra, mudra and bandha, and redirecting this energy into our central energy channel. Expect to feel deeply grounded and vital.
IGNITING THE INNER SPARK – VIN/YIN YOGA
In traditional TCM It is believed that the emptiness at the centre of our heart is the space where our spirit/consciousness resides. This tiny spark of divine love residing in our hearts is what radiates out into the world as the light of our true nature… This heart-warming practice blending the cooling and calming energy of yin and the warm and joyous energy of yang will ignite our fire energy sparking our inner flame to shine brightly. Expect to feel calm, refreshed, joyful and energised

AGNI HOTRA CEREMONY
This Vedic fire ceremony is said to energise and purify both the participants and the surrounding area. Deeply healing, this ceremony is the perfect way to end your retreat experience.

THAI YOGA MASSAGE
Relax and let time slip away with a Mini Metta (loving kindness) Thai Yoga Massage,
Feel the tension melt away in your shoulders, neck, arms, hands and spine with this gentle and relaxing for 30 minute massage that will focus on the energy pathway (meridians of the heart and small intestine). Thai Yoga massage utilizes yoga-like postures and passive stretching, to assist in reducing tension, enhancing flexibility, experiencing deep relaxation and improving overall wellbeing.
YOGA PHILOSOPHY 101
In this short workshop, we will explore the main themes in 3 well known Yogic texts – Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra, The Bhagavad Gita and Hatha Yoga Pradipika. Gain an understanding of the philosophy that underpins our yoga practices and how we can integrate it into our daily lives to deepen not only our practice, but also our understanding of ourselves.
ESSENTIAL OIL WORKSHOP
As we are now experiencing late winter and coming into early spring there is a tendancy toward a heavy feeling and mucus production in the body.
We can balance these change of season effects by using essential oils and Ayurvedic massage according to vedic holistic treatments.
The workshop will show you how to mix and use a Tridoshic oil blend that is unique for you.
RAW FOOD CLASS
Yes its more than smoothies! This class will show you a recipe you can easily and quickly make at home for a raw variation on a classic go to meal!
