Lifestyle Consultations

Begin the journey towards integrated wellness

We all want to thrive in life, living with good health, mental clarity, stable and vital energy and with purpose and joy at the forefront of our lives. Too often though, our busy lives and the demands of work and family mean we don't take the time to make the changes necessary or else have no clue where to start.

These Lifestyle Consultations are designed to create incremental changes in your life to bring you closer to optimal health and wellbeing with each session. We will work together using a blend of Yoga, Ayurveda, Vedic Life Coaching and Australian Bush Flower Essences building upon the initial foundation we lay down, in order to make these changes long lasting and manageable. Ultimately, I want to ensure you are able to sustain the recommendations and add them into your daily life without feeling overwhelmed so we will work systematically and methodically towards your wellness goal.

Working in this way, you will learn to heal yourself - after all, it will be your effort and tenacity that will bring you closer towards your desired state of being. You will be given the tools to facilitate the result, but it will be YOU who does the healing. This is an extremely empowering way to work towards wellness.

I also offer Ayurvedic Massage known as Abyhanga which can be taken by itself or added to an initial Lifestyle Consultation. These massages use medicated oils specific to your unique constitution with rhythmical and specific techniques, and offer a range of health benefits aside from being extraordinarily relaxing.

Methods Used

Yoga: While yoga in the West is often seen as physical exercise or simply as an opportunity to stretch, traditionally it is considered a spiritual practice and incorporates subtle energetic techniques as well as pranayama (breathwork) and meditation.

As a student and practitioner of the Tantric lineage of Sri Vidya, I will use yoga as an energy management tool in conjunction with Ayurvedic principals. The type of practice you will be given- if any- will depend on your current situation and the symptoms you are experiencing. The practice may be Hatha or a more dynamic vinyasa style, or perhaps even Yin, A short meditation and pranayama will also be included in any practice given. Don't worry if you are inexperienced or think yoga is not for you - if a practice is prescribed it will designed to be accessible.

Ayurveda: One of the three Vedic streams of knowledge along with Yoga and Tantra, Ayurveda is the sister science of Yoga, focussing on creating balance and wellness in the physical body. In our consultation, we will work with Ayurveda as lifestyle recommendations. Your Dosha or Ayurvedic constitution and current imbalance will be assessed and from here recommendations and/or herbal remedies advised. This could be something as simple as getting out in nature more, or involve a morning routine known as a Dinacharya or something else entirely. Ayurveda is amazingly powerful - its incredible how small changes can be made which have a profound effect on our physical and mental body.

Vedic Life CoachingA mix between Western life coaching techniques and Vedic wisdom from Yoga and Tantra, Vedic Life Coaching may be used in your consultation depending upon your needs.

Utilising self-enquiry techniques, you will be guided towards accessing your own inner wisdom to come to a greater understanding of an issue that may be causing you discomfort or distress. Philosophy, discussion, journalling, meditation and sometimes even a physical yoga practice may be used. The aim of Vedic Life Coaching is to change your perspective to give you greater clarity and discernment - its a little like peeling open an onion - with guidance you will slowly uncover and discern any unhelpful beliefs or patterns of thought you have been holding on to and learn to overcome and release them.

Australian Bush Flower Essences: Similar to Bach Flower Remedies, Australian Bush Flower. Remedies focus on native plant healing. A form of vibrational medicine, these incredible essences made from the flower of the plant, can assist in physical and emotional healing. I use a combination of essences from Ian White (Australian Bush Flower Essences) as well as essences I have made myself from plants native to the Exmouth area. Having used and worked with them for a couple of years now, I am always amazed at the results I get and see in others, and it's a wonderful complementary modality for a consult.

Abhyanga Massage: Abhyanga is Ayurvedic Massage. It is a rejuvenating full body massage that incorporates

medicated oils specific to the season and the unique constitution (dosha) of the individual. This type of massage has any benefits, and is particuarly effective in strengthening and stimulating the lymphatic system, pacifying the nervous system, enhancing the bodies own natural ability to detoxify, optimising blood circulation and much more. A short pre-massage form will be emailed to you prior to your appointment so I can assess your constitution and ensure you get the most out of our time together.
